FAA Air Traffic Control Tower Modernization, Pueblo, Colorado

FSi was the prime consultant to the FAA for this modernization of a 2200 sf, 1960s era air traffic control tower in Pueblo, Colorado.

All mechanical and electrical systems were replaced, including: HVAC for the CAB, offices and electronic equipment areas; fire alarm system, stairwell pressurization system, and electrical power and communications wiring. Architectural upgrades included remodeled office and break room areas, and handicap access improvements. The project also included the addition of an emergency generator and the design for a mobile tower to be used during the construction work in the main tower.
