Boeing Paint Hangar’s Paint Mix Room & Gun/Pot Cleaning

FSi designed the ventilation, exhaust and filtration system for a paint mix room and a gun/pot cleaning room located in the central support area between two high bays in the 50,500 square foot multipurpose paint hangar.

Offices on the upper floors of the in-fill were provided with HVAC and specialized exhaust systems. Installation included a stand-alone chiller for cooling. Design considered the Threshold Limit Values and Lower Explosive Limit for a highly volatile MEK/Toluene mixture. Fan systems were designed to provide two-speed operation to take advantage of long periods of non-occupancy.
