Boeing Paint Hangar Paint Mix Room & Gun/Pot Cleaning

FSi designed the ventilation, exhaust and filtration system for a paint mix room and a gun/pot cleaning room located in the central support area between two high bays in the 50,500 square foot multipurpose paint hangar.

FSi designed HVAC and specialized exhaust systems for offices on the upper floors. Installation included a stand-alone chiller for cooling. Design considered the threshold limit values and lower explosive limit for a highly volatile MEK/Toluene mixture. Fan systems were designed to provide two-speed operation to take advantage of long periods of non-occupancy.
