Whitman Middle School Water Piping Replacement

FSi provided piping design and construction services for the replacement of fixtures and piping to improve the water quality and extend the system life at this 1,100 student middle school.

FSi worked directly with the SPS Project Manger and maintenance staff to develop cost effective methods to replace the existing piping in the mix of tunnels and direct-bury installation. FSi helped SPS consider alternate materials, such as flexible copper and polyethylene piping in tight spaces, to reduce cost. To fit construction within the short summer break, the project was designed for concurrent work crews, and early start in non-occupied areas.
