Customer Airline Offices in the 10-20 Building
FSi, as a sub-consultant to Boeing’s partner architect, provided the mechanical design for renovation of office space.
The project renovated one floor (23,000 square feet) of the existing 10-20 office building to serve as executive offices for representatives of Boeing’s customer airlines. Open floor space changed to many small perimeter and interior offices, with full-height walls and separate zoning. Existing HVAC equipment was reused as much as possible to minimize construction costs. Modifications to the air handling, chilled water, fire protection and temperature control systems were needed to serve the new floor plan. Field survey of existing conditions was required to determine construction feasibility of modifications to the existing systems in the limited ceiling space. The contractor was included throughout the design to provide feasibility and cost feedback.
