Sitka Centennial Building
Located in Sitka, Alaska, Sitka Centennial Building is a 22,000 square foot exhibition hall.
FSi performed detailed mechanical design to replace 25 existing heat pumps with fan coil units, convert an existing condenser water loop to chilled water, install a 60 ton air cooled chiller, replace an existing boiler with two new units and replace all boiler room hot water piping. Other upgrades included installation of: new combustion air ducts, a second hot water heater, new hot water circulation pumps, new grills and sound insulation for auditorium return ducting, new supply air ducting for backstage areas, controls to select the existing evaporative cooler for low load conditions and chilled water coils to replace dx coils in two air handlers. FSi also provided construction support during both permitting and construction.
