FSi provided plumbing piping design, coordination and construction support for replacement of aging domestic hot and cold water distribution system on this $550,000 project. The two story, 93,000 s.f. middle school, built in the 1964, serves about 650 students. The new systems are designed to improve water quality and serve the diverse activities including kitchen, science rooms and classrooms. Equipment upgraded includes gas-fired water heaters, pumps and backflow protection. Challenges for this design include coordinating the design for construction over the short summer break and to minimize change orders for systems buried in the building.
