FSi provided plumbing and steam piping design, coordination and construction support for replacement of aging domestic hot and cold water distribution system and repair of degraded steam piping on this $1.5 million project.

FSi provided plumbing and steam piping design, coordination and construction support for replacement of aging domestic hot and cold water distribution system and repair of degraded steam piping on this $1.5 million project. The one story, 38,000s.f. elementary school, built in the 1957, serves about 250 students. The new systems are designed to improve water quality to the kitchen, restrooms and classrooms. Equipment upgraded includes gas-fired water heaters and pumps. Challenges for this design include designing to minimize patching and repairing costs associated with the complete piping replacement and coordinating the design for construction over the short summer break.
