Why Work with FSi?

FSi’s values, vision and working environment foster communication and problem solving. We care about people and relationships, enjoy what we do, and would like to share our enthusiasm with you.

We Get Involved…
at the very beginning of every project to make timely decisions and understand budget issues. Our clients can then make informed decisions and eliminate surprises along the way. Early involvement lets the project team know up-front the impact that the mechanical systems may have on the scope, budget and on other disciplines within the project team.

We Are Flexible…
in both our firm’s structure and our engineering. We are interested in what you want and are willing to look at issues from different angles. We aren’t boxed in to a single approach.

We Work Closely With Our Clients and Design Teams…
to fully understand the project and provide the best overall solution. We work closely with our clients and design teams. We pride ourselves in the ability to hear your objectives and create a design or service that fits your needs. This means you get a quality solution, not a duplicate of another project.

We Meet Aggressive Project Schedules…
say our clients. Much of our work is accomplished on a fast track schedule; including requirements for a facility to remain occupied or in 24 hour operation. Our experience as a prime consultant give us an overall understanding of projects and how to manage it to meet project schedules, not just a focus on the mechanical systems.

We Know Our Clients…
inside and out. Several of us have worked inside owner facility departments – this gives us a unique understanding of the needs and issues from the client side.

We Value Sustainable…
design and energy conservation. FSi is a member of the US Green Building Council, and two of our engineers – Tom and Mike – are LEED accredited. A current project, the 1st NE Transfer Station is projected to achieve a LEED Silver Rating.
